The Hip:

The main disease cause of the hip is the wear of articular cartilage: the coxarthrosis. This wear is perceived as pain that initially occurs only during the application of a load on the articulation, then manifests itself gradually more and more frequently, until it is felt even during inactivity.
The increase in the intensity of pain is a slow process that can continue for years, and that can also lead to the tightening of the articulation. Initially the treatment is conservative, consisting in physio-kinesis-therapy, articular recovery, use of hyaluronic acid and stem cells. When it is particularly serious, with the loss of articular cartilage, it is applicable the surgical treatment of prosthetic replacement. The Arthroplasty of the hip is a common treatment for severe coxarthrosis. Succesful replacement interventions of the hip lead to a clear pain relief and recovery of function of the hip articulation.
